About Us
Your Discomfort Zone was created to remind you to walk by faith through life’s uncomfortable moments. These moments can help us grow into who God created us to be with a new faith, trust, courage and purpose.
Discomfort can come from situations we’re able prepare for, like moving cities, trying a new hobby or starting college. There are also uncomfortable moments that we have no control over that surprise us, such as navigating anxiety and grief or losing a job.
I don’t know what all you’ve endured in your discomfort zone so far and what God has scheduled for you in the future. But I do know the hard situations that strengthen your relationship with God are better than a mundane life that keeps your faith lukewarm.

The Logo
God doesn’t call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust and have faith in Him through the discomfort. 2nd Corinthians 5:7 says “for we walk by faith, not by sight.” This is what the 5:7 and the crosswalk icon represents.
There’s always a risk crossing the street, but the crosswalk is intended to be a safe space to get to the other side. I like to think of faith as our crosswalk as we navigate getting through life’s uncomfortable moments.
God loves to protect and guide us to the other side of these moments. Our responsibility in that is to notice, listen and obey Him.
We have endless opportunities to meet new people, explore new places and try new things. The circular shape represents how your discomfort zone is endlessly all around you.
The Founder
Hellooo! My name is Myranda Harper and my goal in life and with this community is to spread God's love. When I was 19 years old I started moving every 365 days just for fun. Fun to me is meeting new people, exploring new places and trying new things. I am now 28 years old and have lived in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Austin and currently back in Chattanooga again for a bit.
Moving somewhere random without knowing anyone or anything about the area has helped me create a lifestyle out of discomfort. I have been able to collect 6 years worth of memories, friendships and adventures during this time of adventure and love to share it with others.
The most valuable development I’ve gotten out of this lifestyle is a deeper relationship with God. I have seen and heard Him so much through every experience, situation and decision I’ve made. In each place I’ve lived in, He has taught me something different about love and the importance of it.
